Amble North Breakwater Light, Northumbrian Coast.

This tiny light which shines green is precariously placed at the end of the North Breakwater at Amble. The old structure was replaced in 2008 with a new light pole painted green.

In conjunction with the south light it aids fishing boats and pleasure craft entering Amble Harbour.

The first three photos below show the new light. The next two photos show the old light with Coquet Island Lighthouse in the distance in summer sun while the bottom photo shows a very rough sea seen from Amble Pier.
